Effective date: August 21, 2026
We value your privacy! We will never give, lease, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information. Period!
Any information you give to Pavement Depot will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. A more detailed explanation of how we safeguard your personal information is described below. If you have any questions at all about our privacy policy, please contact us.
This policy applies to Pavement Depot, our website at pavementdepot.ca, and our locations in Kitchener and Milton, Ontario.
Resale or disclosure of information to third parties
Pavement Depot does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information collected at our site, including contact forms, quote requests, or email lists.
SMS and mobile information
Mobile phone numbers and SMS/text messaging consent are not shared with third parties, affiliates, or non-affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
If you opt in to our text messages, you may receive order and pickup updates, shipping notices, quote follow-ups, and, if you have asked for them, promotions and free training day invitations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
We keep a record of when and how you gave your consent, and of any opt-out, because Canadian law and mobile carriers require us to be able to show it. That record stays with us and goes nowhere else.
Personal information
Pavement Depot collects personally identifiable information from visitors to our website only on a voluntary basis. Personal information collected on a voluntary basis may include name, company name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and mobile number.
This information is collected if you request a quote or product information, register for one of our free training days, sign up for our email list, ask about equipment financing, or request some other service from us. The information collected is internally reviewed, used to fill your order and answer your questions, to improve the content of our website, and to notify you of updates you have asked for.
If we make material changes in the collection of personally identifiable information, we will inform you by placing a notice on our site.
When we do share information
There are a few practical situations where information has to move, and we want to be straight with you about them:
- We give your name, address, and phone number to the courier or freight company delivering your order.
- Service providers. Companies that host our website, send our emails, transmit our text messages, and process payments handle your information on our behalf. They may only use it to do that job for us.
- If, and only if, you ask us to refer you to an equipment financing provider, we pass along what they need to contact you. That is your choice to make.
- Legal requirements. We will disclose information where the law requires it.
All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
Browser information collected on the website
Pavement Depot analyzes the website logs to improve the value of the materials available on the website. These website logs are not personally identifiable, and Pavement Depot makes no attempt to link them with the individuals who actually browse the site.
Privacy of our email lists
Individuals must affirmatively ask to join our mailing lists using the forms provided on this website or other means expressly sanctioned by Pavement Depot. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our list to anyone. We also configure our email software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our subscribers to anyone but authorized Pavement Depot staff, including other subscribers.
Unsubscribe policy
We strive to only send email to those who want to receive it. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also reply to any email with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line, or email us at info@pavementdepot.ca. We action all requests within 10 business days, as Canadian anti-spam law requires. You will still receive messages about an order you have placed with us.
Use of cookies
We may use cookies to help you personalize your online experience. Cookies are small identifiers transferred to your device through your web browser that let our systems recognize your browser and remember your preferences on a return visit.
We also use cookies for basic analytics, meaning we look at which pages get visited and how people find us, so we can make the site more useful. This information is looked at in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying your web browser. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully use every feature of the site.
Children
This website is directed to adults and to people in the asphalt maintenance trade. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Non-personal information
In some cases, we may collect information about you that is not personally identifiable. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, and understand our audience as a whole. It is used solely for internal review and is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
Release of information
If Pavement Depot is sold, the information we have obtained from you through your voluntary participation in our site may transfer to the new owner as part of the sale, so the service being provided to you can continue. In that event, you will receive notice through our website of that change in control, and we will make reasonable efforts to ensure the purchaser honours any opt-out requests you have made of us.
How you can see, correct, or remove your information
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. Just contact us using the details below and we will take care of it, normally within 30 days.
If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at 1-800-282-1376 or priv.gc.ca.
Updates and effective date
Pavement Depot reserves the right to make changes to this policy. If there is a material change in our privacy practices, we will indicate on our site that our privacy practices have changed. We encourage you to periodically review this policy so you know what information we collect and how we use it.
