Take Advantage of Free Ways to Advertise and Market your Asphalt Maintenance Business

For those of you looking to grow your Asphalt Maintenance Business, start by taking advantage of Free Resources available in Canada. There are a wide variety of Social Media sites, Directories, and Free Advertising avenues that all Asphalt Maintenance Contractors should be using. Whether you are into Asphalt Driveway Sealing, Parking Lot Line Painting, Hot Crack Repair and Sealing, or Paving and Parking Lot Patch work and Pothole Repair, nothing beats Free Marketing.

Social Media – the big 3 would be Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. You don’t need to be a marketing expert to take advantage of the free exposure these platforms offer. At a bare minimum build a company profile on all 3 Social Media sites. Take before and after pictures of the Asphalt Maintenance Work that you do and post once a week. If you need help there are a handful of programs where you can make one post and have that post simultaneously pushed to all three social media sites(www.hootsuite.com).  Worst case scenario find a teenager in your house and have them put their social media skills to use.

Directories – these are by far the easiest advertising methods, and a no brainer for any Asphalt Maintenance Business. They will almost immediately have your profile up and running live. With every Directory you join, it will create one more impressions of your Asphalt Maintenance Business’ name on Google and help with boosting your online presence.

Not only will your ads be viewed by consumers searching directly on Kijiji, Craigslist, and Facebook. They will also be visible on search engines such as Google, and Bing.

Make sure when posting your ads to include the following:

  • Company name and all contact details – make it as easy as possible for customers to reach you
  • Links to website and all social media accounts – allow your potential customers to read more about your business and see who you are
  • Company logo – you have, or are building a brand – every person that clicks to view your ad should see your logo so that it gets drilled into their head
  • Before and after pictures – this gives customers a visual of what the job will look like when completed in comparison to what it looked like before
  • when posting on Facebook, a great way to connect with local customers is to post ads in local buy and sell groups, they are normally open to local businesses promoting themselves and are an amazing free resource. If you are doing Asphalt Driveway Sealing in a specific neighbourhood, odds are they have a local group you can join and promote in.

Very good read! Everyone in this industry whether you are starting out, or already established should take some notes from this post. One of the most difficult steps in building a business in the asphalt maintenance industry is where to put your efforts and money when it comes to marketing. Using free social platforms to build and audience has been more beneficial for us in more ways than not.

Some highly dance flooded regions require a lot of social interaction to stand out and become noticed over your fellow competitors.
